LOGGINS & MESSINA, ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL DUO’S OF THE 70’S, ARE SITTIN’ IN AGAIN AFTER NEARLY 30 YEARS

LOGGINS & MESSINA TO KICK OFF 40–CITY TOUR;
TOUR TO COINCIDE WITH MAY 24 RELEASE OF
“THE BEST: LOGGINS & MESSINA -SITTIN' IN AGAIN”

New York, NY – April 22, 2005 – Loggins & Messina, one of the most successful duo’s of the 70’s, will hit the road this June for the first time in nearly 30 years for one of the most highly anticipated concert events of the summer, the “Sittin’ In Again Reunion Tour.”  Presented by AEG/Concerts West,  Sittin’ In Again is set to launch on June 24 in Boise, Idaho at The Idaho Center Amphitheatre and will feature more than 40 concert dates in major cities and venues across the country including The Greek Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, Ca, The Blossom Center in Cleveland, OH and Jones Beach in New York. Not since 1976 have audiences had the opportunity to see what critics hailed as one of the best live acts of the early 70’s. Tickets will begin to go on sale on Sunday April 24th and will continue throughout the month of May (check local listings).

The 1972 release of (Kenny) Loggins & (Jim) Messina’s Sittin’ In, originally intended as a one-off, was the smash hit debut that launched one of rock’s most popular live shows, a series of gold and platinum records, Top 10 albums and over sixteen million in record sales. To this day, songs like “Your Mama Don’t Dance,” “Vahevala,” “House At Pooh Corner,” "Angry Eyes" and “Danny’s Song” still resonate with music lovers nationwide.

“The Sittin’ In Again Reunion Tour” will give audiences a chance to experience these songs again and will celebrate the past, present and future. In addition to performing some of their biggest hits, the tour will feature a Sittin’ In segment that will allow other musical guests to join them onstage.

“We’re really looking forward to the audiences,” says Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina. “We’re looking forward to seeing good friends from long ago as well as some friends we’ve picked up along the way.”

In conjunction with the tour, Columbia/Legacy is set to release The Best: Loggins & Messina Sittin’ In Again on May 24th. The album will feature a collection of 18 tracks including some of the bands most celebrated hits.
